Nehru College of Educational and Charitable Trust, an educational conglomerate of higher order to render its yeoman service to the society at large with “Moulding True Citizen” as its motto was established in the year of 1968. It started its philanthropic service in the field of Aeronautical Engineering and subsequently spread its wings into rest of the engineering branches, Management, Arts, Science, and Paramedical Sciences and has added feather after feather to its Cap. Its unparallel service to the poor underprivileged and downtrodden children of the society is widely accepted and appreciated by the people of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
Trust
The Trust was registered at Coimbatore registry as a Public Charitable Trust with registration number 114 dt. 9th Feb 1994. It has spread its wings to the neighboring Kerala State too by establishing Educational Institutions of high reputation.
The Arts & Science Institution of the group has been re-accredited with ‘A’ Grade and recently, the Engineering College also received the NAAC Accreditation. Constitution of the Trust The Trust was formed by Mr. P.K. Das, F.I.E., F.I. Mech. E., M.S. Engg., A.F.R.Ae.S. (London), C.Engg., Founder Chairman, who was a well known educationist with rich experience in meticulously planning in establishing and marvelously administering educational institutions.He was a great industrialist with overwhelming spirit of entrepreneurship and excellent business acumen–who was a philanthropist with utmost care and concern for the fellow human beings, suppressed and suffering – who was in a nutshell humane in all his approaches. After his sad demise on June 9th 2009, his two sons took over the trust and continuing the acumen in the service for the society. Now, the Trust comprises of Adv. Dr. P. Krishna Das as the Chairman & Managing Trustee, Dr. P Krishna Kumar as the CEO & Secretary and Dr. P. Thulasi as trustee. ,
