The establishment of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was initiated to cultivate specialized expertise in the field of entrepreneurship development. Acknowledging the worldwide shortage of jobs in both governmental and private sectors, resulting in issues of unemployment and inefficient utilization of human resources, the cell strives to identify gifted youth and guide them toward entrepreneurial pursuits. The cell has outlined diverse programs focused on entrepreneurship development as part of its strategic planning.
Objectives of the Cell
- Raise awareness among the students of the institution about entrepreneurship as a viable career choice.
- Conduct training programs focusing on the development of entrepreneurial skills.
- Formulate curriculum elements related to entrepreneurship for integration into engineering programs.
- Offer guidance and facilities to potential entrepreneurs during the gestation phase.
